GRAND ORDER OF ODDFELLOWS

LOWER HUTT BRANCH. On Wednesday, 20th inst., the abovebranch held their quarterly- meeting, in. the Scouts;.. Hall.': The Grandmaster, Bro. G. Ponder, was in attendance with his officers; also the District Master, Bro. W. Morgan, and Council! Elections for the officers of the branch for the next six months was . completed, Bro. T. Conley being the JN".G. for the period. The G.M. complimented the branch on the way it is progressing. He then presented Bro F. Hey P.N.G, with the Presentation Collar, and Bro. Hey suitably replied. The G.M. then presented the balance-sfieet and statement for year 1927. The finances of the Order for New Zealand were found to be in a very healthy eeondition. The G.S. was thanked for his statement. The D.M. then said he would take advantage of the large attendance of officers and members present to award Bro. F. Pley as P.D.M. with a jewel for services rendered when D.M. Bro. Hoy- suitably replied. The Lodge olosr ed at 10.30 p.m., the brethren, prosent then, retiring into harmony...
