WAIWHETU PARENTS' ASSOCIATION

A successful dance was held at the Hutt Park Pavilion on Saturday last under the auspices of the above Association, the proceeds being devoted to the school funds. An innovation to these functions is a learners' class for '' Yale Blues'' under the tuition of Miss Inez Connop, of Wellington, who has recently returned from a tour of Europe and America. Later in the evening Miss Connop and her dancing partner gave an exhibition dance of the Yale Blues, which was very much appreciated. The music was supplied by the Gaiety Orchestra which was up to its usual excellent standard. The learners '■ class will be continued at every fortnightly dance under the same direction. The Railway Department supplies two buses at midnight for conveyance of patrons direct to Lower Hutt and Petone respectively.
