A DESERVING CASE.
APPEAL FOR HELP. In response to the appeal made in our last issue under the above heading we gratefully acknowledge the following donations:— £ s. d. Mrs. L. This fund having been started the Editor of this paper is anxious that its. administration and continuance be handed over to a committee elected by the subscribers and those interested in assisting this unfortunate family. For this purpose a meeting will be held in the River Board office on Thursday, 29th inst., at 8 p.m., when it is hoped a good number will attend. Any further donations or suggestions may be addressed to the Editor, "Hutt News."
