Children's Competition.

In our last issue we offered a prize to the child attending one of the primary schools who supplied the six best reasons, "Why it pays to shop in the Hutt?" There were several very good replies, but we consider the best to be those supplied by Doris Knight, of 4 Ranwick Crescent. If Doris will call at the office of this paper she will receive her prize. The following are the reasons given:— 1. It pays to support local industry for the benefit of the town in general. 2. It saves travelling expenses. 3. You can buy the same article at the Hutt at town prices or even cheaper in some instances. 4. You receive speedy attention, courtesy, and civility. 5. Most of the business people deliver free of charge. 6. You can shop with more comfort in the Hutt than you can with the hustle and crush of the town.
