WEEKLY REPORT. Wellington October 20. Potatoes have shown a considerable advance in price since last report; supplies in the south appear to be short and importation is still going on from Australia. Wheat and oats are firm at recent rates. There has been a sharp advance in the price of maize. The prices of pollard and bran are being maintained and' good business is doing. Dressed pork is still in short supply and the demand keen. Supplies of honey are now available and there is a fair demand. Eggs continue to be in excellent demand and prices show no change. Lincseed oil cake for stock feeding is being used in increasing quantities with satisfactory results. There is an abundant supply of spring cabbage arriving and values have declined. Choice cauliflowers are in short supply and selling at high rates. There is an excellent demand for choice lettucei and high prices are ruling. Swedes are now selling well. Parsntips, table carrots, and white turnips meet good demand at satisfactory rates. Celery, spring onions and leeks meet ready sale. The demand remains good for rhubarb which is fairly plentiful. Choice Nelson green peas a.re now arriving daily and meet good demand. Choice dessert and cooking apples are in excellent demand and high prices are being maintained.
