MEETINX3 AT LEVIN. A meeting of the committee of the Levin branch was held on Saturday, the 23rd inst., when there were present : Messrs . Becher (in the chair), J. Prouse, S. A. Broadbelt, L. V. Richards (hon. secretary) '.Messrs Prouse Broadbelt and (Richards were appointed delegates to attend a meeting in Palmerston on the 2nd November to discuss the question of stock auction commission charges in the Wellington province; it was generally considered by Saturday's meeting that the contemplated concession of one-quarter per cent was altogether inadequate.
