Two long casualty lists totalling 38'J names came through yesterday. The first list contained: the name of Private E. S. Morgan (wounded), of Levin. A joint delivery of bread in Levin and d ; 6tvict is being arranged for by the local bakers. All sales are to be tnndia strictly for cash. Details of the scheme will be advertised in tomorrow's Chronicle. Mr. F.- 0. Smith is to conduct the combined delivery. A message from Melbourne .last night states that Senftto?--Pearsß-,~MiCißtßr -•" of "Defence, has definitely announced that all single men between 21 and 35 years of age will be called up on Monday. Men hitherto rejected as unfit will he required to undergo a further examination. It is reported from Amsterdam that the German submarine tradier, the Bremen, has arrived in America. 'The judicial committee of the Horouhenna Racing Club, Messrs B. Ling and B. H. Gardener, at the meeting yesterday, held an inquiry into an allegation that W. Trask, trainer of Keynote, had administered a stimulant to the liorse. The charge was held to be proved and Trask was suspended for two months.
