There is ti* tiling doing in the local wheat market, but some enquiries are now coming to hand tram North Ibland millers, probably in consequence of the firmer tone jn the soutthern market lately shown. There is very little wheat now liy growers, who are firm holders. The Southland oats 'market is firmar, and second sales have been" made a-t Biuff at advanced rates. Loqally there is practically nothing offering. The potato market is rather firmer, and sales have been made at distant stations at £6, where £5 15s recently was paid. There are some orders in hand, but few wtatoes are offering.
