[ LOX DON WOOL SALES. Dalgety and Company, Limited, haro received the following cablegram from their London office under date of the 30th i:ist "The lourth series of wool sales hao opened. The selection comprised mostly crossbreds and Westraiian wools. There is a good nttendance of buyers competition is animated. As compared: with the closing rates of last sale, merinos have advanced o to 7J per cent, good combing showing occasionally a. further advance. Fine crossbrtds are " per cent dearer and coarso jni changed. For the fith series of sales commencing on the 11th July, the limit has been fixed at 11X7,000 Bales of net new arrivals. The sixth new arrivals. The sixth series has been arranged to open on ttie oth September, and limit, f if any, will be fixed lattr. Subsequent sales will be aeld at frequen tintervals. Shannon- stock sale is to 'be neld next Tuesday. Meeers AT) rah am and Williams advertise entries.
