Beel.—Only New Zealand bull beet at the market selling at: Hinds 7a per lb. fores 6d; chilled hinds BJd, fores 7d. Butter. —The market is steidiv. Danish, iirmer, per ewt 174s to 1765; Now Zealand, steady, l(>2s to Kj-ts; Australian, quiet, 1586 to 160s; Siberian, a fair demand, 126s to 1345; Argentine, steady, 1483 to 1525. Cheese. —The market is very firm. Canadian, firm. The stock is email, per cwt, 106s to 108s; New' Zealand, market firmer, white and coloured 103s to 104s; United States, firm, IOOe to 103s; English cheddiar, very firm, 114s to 116s; Cheshire, 120s to 1225. , On April Ist the estimated Canadian and United Stmtes cheese stocks at London and Bristol, 97,000 boxes against "9.500 at the same time last year. NewZealand and Australian cheese stocks, London and Bristol, 28.000 crates against 19,000 Inst year.
