BOWLING BY GASLIGHT AT LEVIN
* A first -class orchestra has been got together for the bowling toumaimenit to be hold on Levin Bowling Club's green this evening and lookers-on may anticipate a gleasjiirgible open-air concert, as well as- the sight of close and interesting games between the brave _ adventurers who will be seeking renown and rheumatism on the dewygreens. Stalls for the- sale of sweets and refreshments will he, doing business throughout Wednesday and Thurs-day-evenings ; so, all in ail, there is. Erospeot of a substantial sum of money eing realised for the benefit of the country patriotic fund (West Coast Farmers') to which the proceeds of the tournament will be given. The bowling and croquet games will be started at 7.30 o'clock each evening.
