Wedding Chimes

A pretty wedding took place at tin.home of Mr end Mrs \\. H. HerU, Greys road, Hastings, on Tuesday alternoon, when their second daughter, Elizabeth Maud, was united in matrimony to Mr George Leslie Adkin. eldest son of Mr and Mrs VV. G. Adkni. of Clieslyn Rise, Levin. The ceremony -was performed by tUr , Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt, of Hastings. The service was fully choral, tho music being supplied by Miss Roua Kitchen (piano), Mr A. K. Don (flute) end Mr Kitchen (violin.) I The bride looked ohanning in her dress of cream pailette sik, with ivo 7 ninon overdress, the train being lined with pale blue shirred ninon. She wore a court veil of Brussels net and Chantilly liice, with wreath of orange blossoms andi lillies of the valley, ami she carried a sheaf bouquet of whita lillies. The bride wns attended by her sis^c. - Miss <7live Herd, as chief bridesmaid, supported by Miss Clare Adkin, of Lesister of the bridegroom, and MisWinnie Wall is, of Hamilton. The chH bridesmaid wore rose ninon over crop: 1 dc chine, the second sage green voile, and the third old gold crepe de chine- with lace overdress. Each wore black picture hats trimmed wibn their respective colours, and carried v. bouquet of roses. The bride's mother was attired in cinnamon brown pailetto silk, with black m'non ovarcftrees, and carried a bouquet of sweet .pens, whilst the ibrido.groom's mother was attired in bla?k satin charmeuse dress and hat to 'mitch trimmed with a shaded plume.

The bridegroom wns attended by Ulr H McCalman, of Christchurch, as best man. the office of groomsman be ing ({Tied by Trooper Frank S. Golding and Mr Ralph" G. Herd, who are respectively cousin and brother to the bridp.

At the conclusion of the ceremony about fifty guests, including the, bridegroom's parents, and Lieut", anl Mrs T. Herd, uncle and aunt of the 'brhde, and Mr nnd Mrs A. L.'Denton. Hastings, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom, Bsti doffi in a marqn&o on tie kmvu, to the -wedding breakfast. Re/. M. A. Rugby Pratt presided over the function. The drawing-room, hall and marquee were daintily decorated by the firm of Lamberton and Co., and a liberal display oi cut flow.;, ers, given by Mrs T.
