Henri Lissack
Henri Lifisuck, the juvenile prodigy violinist, is to give a concert at ths Century Hall this evening at 6.15. In a notice on nis concert in l'almerston, the Standard said:—"One 01 the largest audiences ever assembled in the lvosy .theatre gathered last night to attendi a concert given by the Henri Lissack Company, the building being tilled to its utmost capacity. AH present spent an enjoyable evening, the excellent music provided proving highly acceptable. Tlie' leading inemler of the company is Jieiiri Lissack, and although only eleven years of age, proved by the playing of his violin that he is a musician ot considerable promise. His technique was excellent, and his handling ot the difficult lumbers selected! for the evening was the subject of favourable and much surprised comment by Uie listeners. The pieces played by Jdenri Lissack during the evening were "Danses, "Tziganes" (Nachei), "iiol Nidra' (Max jirusch), "Tarantelle" (Papini), "Valse Triste," "Souvenir" (Drdla), "Legende" (Wieniawßki) "The Harp That Once" (Barker), ".bast Rose ot Summer" (Barker), and "Humoresque" (Dvorak). The violinist was assisted in the last number by Maurice, his three-year-old brotlier, who gives promise of being a clover 'cellist. Voc il items during the evening were "The Rosary," "I hear \ou (Jailing Me," and; "Less Than the Dust, pleasingly sung uy Mr H. E. Bennett, and "InvictuB 1 'and "Mother o' Mine," contributed most acceptably by Mr l'<. Short. Miss Vera Graham played the accompaniments with much success.
