LEVIN'S PARIAH DOGS. -Motor cyclists who uso Levin roads have made many complaints about the danger 1.0 limb and machine occasioned by dogs that rush .suddenly on the cyclists null intent on their legs or a wheelspoke. Maybe the dogs are merely making fun in a can mo way, but the effect iis disconcerting on the cycliscs, and some bad spills have been occasioned more than once. A suggestion has been made to us that dog-owners should lie induced to keep their dogs tied up when the owners are unable to go abroad ; and on the face of it the- suggestion seems reasonable. No doubt the trouble would he only scotched— not'killed—if the dogs were kept chained : for some l dogs are adopts at dragging I'reo from bondage, and others haw a way of getting into mischief, in a twinkling of the ©ye, while the owners are constructively in ddroct control ol them.
