0 .— I PEtt PIIESS ASSOCIATION.] N.Z. NURSES MISSING. FROM THE TRANSPORT MARQUETTE. Wellington, Nov. 2. ' Information which has reached the Government shows that the staff of the No. 1. New Zealand Stationary Hospital, under Surgeon-Colonel McGavin, was aboard the British transport Marquette, which was torpedoed and sunk in the Aegean Sea on October aard. Full details are not yet to hand, but it is known that ten New Zealand nurses and a certain number of the male members of the hospital staff arc among the missing. The following list of oi survivors was issued lat« last night:— Drowned.— Army Nursing Service: Staff Nurse M. Rogers. Missing, believed to be ff!wned.— Staff Nurses W. S. Brown, T. Clark, C A. Fox, M. Gorman, M. M. wildyard, fi. K. Isdoll, M. E. Jamtieson, M H. Rao L. A. Rattray. The following nurses were saved :•— Acting-Matron M. O. Cameron (seriously ill), Mabel Wright (slightly sick). K-. Wilkin, Hodges, Nicoll. Erwin, Grigor, McLeod. McCosh-Smith. McKay, Popplewell, Abbott, Gould. Wilson (slightly sick)'. Young, Jeannie Sinclair. Mary L. Christmas, Tna Coster, Gladys Wethrell. Winifred Austey, Maude Haste. Catherine Bliickie, Maude Hooker and Doney M. Walker. PALMISRSTON SHOW. Palmorston. This Day. Magnificent weather favours the opening of the Patriotic Spring Show .Carnival of the A. and I'. • Society. There have been important alterations made to the society's grounds since last show, including i great cattle pavilion, housing all stock. The building was erected at a cost ot £1000.
