THREATENING TO SHOOT,

Christen uroli, This Day

Andrew Topping, formerly a dairyman at Ashburton, entered the district Health Office iu the city yesterday and threatened to shoot the Health Officer, Dr Cheseon. Meeting Inspector McKenzie, Topping told him that he would shoot the Dr, and then himself. Afterwards, tho man.kept hanging about tho office and Inspector McKenzio found it necessary to hand him over to the police. Topping was brought before Mr Bishop S. M. and charged with threatening to shoot Dr. Chesson. Defendant was bound over to keep tho pence for twelve months and ordered to find securities of £100.
