CASUALTIES AT THE DARDANELLES. London. Sept. 10. Oihcial.— Killed at the Dardanelles: 113U officers and 1(3,-178 men. 'Woiinded: 1>371 officers and oi),2~JJ men. LOSS Ol' , E7. The Admiralty states that the enemy claims to have sung E7 at the Dardanelles and took prisoner three officers and twenty-live men. This presumably is correct as llic boat hats not been heard of since the 4th hist. .MOKE MEX IDLE. London. Sept. IC. A further 1000 men are idle in Yorkshire owing to the depute in connection with the overtime. CARGOES CO-\iaSCATED. .Mr Justice Evans, in the Admiralty Court, gave judgment'concerning lour Scandinavian vessels carrying cargoes to Copenhagen. It was alleged that the cargoes really were destined lor Germany. It was said that the vessels had thirteen times the usual amount ol goods lor that port, including 100.000 tins oi canned meats, apparently intended for the German army. .Mr Justice Evans decided that the destination of the goocle was the German army and navy and confiscated the cargoes, except a small portion which was released. The judgment affects I' 2 vessels, and also the shipments of many meatpackers, including Ariuour'is, Swift's and other Chicago packeis. THE AXGLO-EREXC'Ii LOAN' IX AMERICA. .New York, Sept. 1-1. American bankers already are pledged to take up a large portion of the Anglo-l'Vench loan. The Commission is willing to allow pro-German banks to participate if satisfied that the o'ffery are genuine. German propagandists are organising protests throughout the nation against the flotation of the loan. Some of the pro-German J\ew York bankers actually are resentful because they have not been invited to participate. Mr It. Lansing announces that the loan does not violate neutrality, because it is for the payment of the Allies' obligations in America. RUSSIAN TERRITORIALS CALLED OUT. Petrograd. Sept. IC.
