Marlon, Mils Day. The Raiigitikei Queen Carnival, extending over eight weeks, was concluded on (Saturday night. There were seven candidates. Miss Joyce McKelvie, daughter ol Mr J. ¥. Mclvelvie, Carnarvon, was elected queen with votes represented by £oUUo. The second and third places went to ■Miss liull (£42(32) and Mrs S. J. Giobous (£2275). TJic total money realized was £lo,o(j3 13s 2d, representing £1,5(37,739 votes. Miss .Bull led from the start until six o'clock on Saturday when she was passed by Miss McKelvie.
