We strongly treconnnend our JVorth island clients not to hold back supplies, as a slump may occur towards tiie end oi the season, and early {Spring is in sight. Seed potatoes are in lair demand, and good lines are offering. These are still being shipped to Australia in large quantities. Very little business is passing in any grains excepting Airiean maize and seed oats, ior winch there is a lair demand. Pollard and bran have fallen again 111 value, and much larger trade is now anticipated. L'huJl is quiet,, and liay u> hard to sell. An excellent demand continues lor l'arxu and grass seeds, and large quantities ol fertilisers are being booked up lor Spring delivery. i'orkers are in good demand. are stationary. Linseed oil cake meal is in good demand ior call feeding and each season sees a much larger consumption oi this pure and valuable food. We advise clients to pass iu their orders ior maize while supplies are available. Hickory liing maize is now available at a price on a par with that oi normal seasons, and orders should be booked at once. The market is 'uver-supplicd wlfn choice cauliflowers and savoy cabbage, and high prices are ruling lor well packed lines. lronbark pumpkins are scarce, and the small consignments offering meet keen competition. Choice lettuce is in short supply, and high rales are ruling. {swedes meet lair sale only, and the enquiry lor parsiujte is quiet. Choice table carrots and white turnips are selling at higher rates. Choice celery meet excellent demand. {Spring onions and leeks arc selling ireely. Small consignments ol rhubarb nave arrived from the iiuLt during the week and keen competition prevails.
