f- - 'l'lio Court Pride oi Levin, ,7(510, held its regular meeting on Tuesday evening, tlie court being opened in the usual manner. P.C.R. i3ro. Ransom presided. There was a large amount ot business dealt with, and correspondence was received from Wellington intimating that D.C.R. would visit Levin on Saturday, 11th inst., and it was decided to hold a special sum awns meeting. it also was decidetl to conimeniorate the lodge anniversary with a "social" on or about October 7th; particulars of this will be made public later on. P.C.R. Bro. Hearle was elected secretary for the "social." P.C.R. Uro. Davison made reference to P.O.K. Uro. Anderson wlio is leaving for the front, and was paying a tarewtfll visit to the lodge, and proposed that the lodge be closed, for harmony. This was agreed to. P.C.R. Bro. Pink proposed viio toast ol P.C.R. Jiio. Aiii!ei.>oii' in an appropriate speech. flu said that eiiwu Bro. Anderson had joined the lodge, he had been an active and enthusiastic member. He was leaving for a good cause and he wished him a sale return P.C.R. Bro. Anderson suitably replied and thanked them tor their kind words and wishes. P.C.It. Bro. timithson also spoke in reference to Bro. Anderson's earnestness in regard to Forestry. They Avere loth to part with him, but lie had been anxious, ever since the war had begun, to go forward t-o defend our country and keep the flag flying, and to fight for the liberty and freedom that our enemy was trying to destroy. P.C.It. Bro. Anderson said' that it was in honour's cause that" he was going forward and he would do his best. The brother then wished him ait revoir.
