Horowhenua Fruitgrowers' Association

fThe ordinary monthly nieiethig of the Horowhenua "Fruitgrowers' Association was held in Mr D. Smart's rooms last evening. There were 'present: Messrs J. C. Neill (chairman), L. Arcus, D. Smart, — Hoskins, H. Power, A. Kennedy, H. Blackburn, H. Haiicox, M. Eosella and S. Gilling. A letter was received from the Minister of Internal Affairs stating that if application be made by owners of property to destroy hares and quail on their holdings, the question of giving authority to such owners will receive immediate attention. It was decided to take the opportunity to sign a joint application to the Sinister of Internal Affaire. It was decided to take tho necessary steps to secure such permission; all desiring it to sign a joint application to thej Minister of (Internal Affairs. It was decided to hold a special meeting on Friday. 23rd inst., to consider the question of drafting remits for the New Zealand Federation's Conference to be liald in Wellington on August 4th, sth and 6th, and to appoint delegates for Hie conference. "
