Unveilty-five-farmers with their teams aggregating 92 horses, (says the Napier Herald), assembled at tlie home, at Tongala, of the late Lieut. R. Miller, who died of wounds at the Dardanelles, and ploughed, cultivated and drilled 70 acres of crop for the widow. The whole district generally helped, providing seed and manure gratis. Tho ladies provided' refreshments for the workers Lieut. Miller was held in very liigh esteem. The Levin Urass Band will play the following program in Oxford-street tonight at 7.30 (weather permitting)-}— Quickstep, "Wairoa," vaisette "•Dewdrops and Daisies," quickstep "Major v. Minor," selection "'Sydney by Night," march "No Surrender," schottische "Lily of the Valley,' 4 quickstep "High School Cadets," God Save the King."
