# The high prices for fat slieep established at Messrs Abraham and Williams' sale last week were maintained at the same firm's Levin sale yesterday when fat wethers sold at troni '25s to 28s 4d. Light Fat ewes realized IDs. lat cows sold to £7 13.5. The entries of sheep and cattle were a Tittle less than usual but the attendance of buyers was good and nearly every lino changed hands. There was an entry of over fifty pigs and sales made abowi the same prices as at the previous sale. Messrs Abraham and Williams' next sale will bo held on July 2nd. FRUIT. Mr D. Smart, manager of the Horowhenua Fruitgrowers' Association depot, reports for the week ended Friday: Trie supply of fruit for the week was small, a sign that the fruit season is d*aiwing to a close. All brought in was sold at from 8s to 8s per case. There was a good demand for potatoes, and a big quantity was sold at lis per sack. The demand for seed, particularly Northern Star. Dalmenv Beauty and Gamekeeper was good and showed an improvement on last week and sales were made at from £5 f° ■£? per ton. There was a fair demand tor onions at Id per lb. The market for onions shows a hardening tendency.
