Tho "Within the Law Company, which scorced a success 011 its visit to Levin will appear again in the King's Theatre this evening. The "Rosary'' is an American drama which has met with great success in America and .England and also in Australia. The piece is essentially a comedy drama written by Edward E. Hose, the well-known American dramatist, who also wrote the "Prisoner of Zenda. - The adventures of Lady Ursula, etc. • The outstanding character in the "Rosary" is that of Father Kelly who dominates all important situations. Mr Lionel Walsh, who will be remembered as Joe G arson in "Within the .Law" will be seen as Father Kelly in the present production, and Miss Hilda Dorrington who scored such a success 111 "Within the Law" will be seen as Vera and Alice, the twin sisters, round whom the whole plot centres. The story of the "Rosary" is simple. It opens '11 Bruce Wilton's home. Wilton is a wealthy stock broker with an idolised young 'wife. in celebration of the second anniversary of her marriage a rosary of pearls is given her by her husband. On the same occasion, although ail atheist,, lie presents a chapel to Father Kelly, his former tutor, to be called "The Chapel of the Rosary." As time goes 011 AVilton finds that someone is revealing information which affects his business affairs. In the end he suspects his wife, his business is ruined and his wife is repudiated. But Father Kelly sets to work with the aid of commonseiise and discernment, as well as faith, and is at last able to reconcile the pair, and to prove that the mischief was innocently caused by Mrs Wilton's twin sister. The reconciliation takes place on the ste*os of the elm pel of "The Rosary* 011 th<day of its dedication. The beautiful song "My Rosary" is sung during the acting of the play and various lines are taken from it as mottoes for the several acts. The magnificent scenery is by Mr Leslie Board, I. 0. Williamson's scenic artist.
