A body found on the coast of Ola-re is believed to be that ot Vanderbilt. The watch bore his initials. MOTOR WORKS DESTROYED. London, Juno 10. The works of Brown, Hughes and Straclmn, motor body builders, at Park Royal, Ealing, covering three acres, was burned. One hundred Red Cross ambulance's and -00 Army Service motor vans were destroyed. The fire started in the centre'of the works ami a strong breeze fanned fjie llanies and the building was swept light and left* A large force of troops asissted the firemen to extinguish the fire. the damage is .£BO,OOO. QUESTION TIME. Mr E. G. The number of men already sanctioned by Parliament for both services was 2,300000. BRYAN'S RESIGNATION. Amsterdam, June 10. The Cologne Gazette regards Mr W. J. IJryan's resignation as a triumph for the Geriuan-Aniericans, and states that Mr Bryan always expounded that neutrality was in favour oi Germany's enemies. Other Berlin newspapers declare that the resignation hardly can be regarded as favourable to Germany.
GOAL AND WHEAT. j London, June 10. The Hon. Mr Kuneiman, i" tho House of C'oininoiis, referring to the increased price of coal, said it was largely due to the heavy enlistment of miners. The output of the remainder of the miners had been increased largely per man, and Iherofore the advance in wages was justified, but taking all the facts into account the price at the pithead seemed excessive. He hoped that negotiations ' with the companies would alfoct an improvement, ii not, Parliament would not tolerate the position. At one time ne said, there was a danger that the wheat margin would be reduced, -but that fear now was removed. He harboured a hope that the fall in price would not stop before the new and abundant liar vest was garnered, and he 100-Ked forward to the opening of Dardanelles further to reduce the price.
