A meeting of the management committee of the Hoiowhenua Hockey Association was held in the .Levin Hotel last evening. There were present:— Messrs I<\ Pink, \V. Hounsell, T. Tuohy, C. Howe, and 0. H. Judd. Mr Pink was elected cliairma*. Apologies for non-attendance wer® received from Messrs Kirkland (Shannon) and Austin (Fox ton). The secretary was instructed £o interview the chairman ot the Levin sports committee of the Wellington Carnival re the Horowhenua Football Association's proposal to hold eeven-a-side football tournaments on the Levin park domain, on Wednesday?, as such tournaments will interfere' with the hockey matches. 'lhe fixtures for the first round were drawn as follows:— May 26. Foxton v. Shannon, at Foxton. Levin A v. Levin B, at Levin. June 9. Levin A v. Shannon, at Shannon. Foxton v. Levin B, at Levin. June 16. Levin A v. Foxton, at Foxton. Levin B, v. Shannon, at Shannon. A vote of thanks to the chairman concluded the meeting.
