: COKRESPONBENiCE. The monthly meeting of the Horoivhenua County Council is being held to-day in the Council Chambers, the chairman (Councillor G. Watson) presiding.. The following correepond■•nco has been received: According to a letter from Mr fe. S. •Jackson the road from the main county road to Wiiokino is in a bad state, and In; aeked the Council to carry ■nit the necessary repairs. A road half-α-chain wides gives ac--f'Ns t<i Mrs M. Winter's property at .Miinakau. Mrs Winter etated in a Irttor to the Council that it should be one chain in width, and an inspection (if the road would point tliis out. Property at the end of Kaihininatl io.kl. Mnkerua, has been acquired from Archer Rro«. by Mr A. <J. Large, of Keilding, and the latter has drawn the C'liincil's attention to the state of the roul to the property, and asking that it !m> repaired before winter sets in. .Mr A. A .Koch, District Railway K.trineer, intimated that the Dppartn fiit has a proved of plans for a cttfr-cr-te bridge over the railway juet sjp ol .Manakau on the mam road, and shited that the Council' share of the d st will be £250.
