THE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
(To the Editor. - )
Sir, —I consider it is due to iny many supporters for municipal honours during the last sis years that I make known the reason that I was not again nominated. On Monday last I had occasion to go to Taranaki, intending to return on Tuesday evening, but was not able (owing to business) to leave before Wednesday, overlooking the fact that nominations closed at 12 o'clock that day. However, I sfticerely thank the ratepayers who have eo loyally 'supported me in the past, and hope to be able to again serve them in the near future.'—l am, etc., E. S. LANCASTER.
