Mr 11. Oliver, of Manakau, has offered his services with the New Zealand Expeditionary forces, and it is expected that he wil lenter camp early next month. Mr Oliver's family includes quite a number of military men.
A pretty wedding took place at \\ aikanae on Wednesday last when Miss H. A. Temple, only daughter of Mr R. F. Temple, of Wellington, and Mr Harry Brown, third son of Mr A. A. Brown, of Waikanae, were married.
At a meeting of the Otaki Electorate No-License League, held at Levin on Wednesday last, the Rev .A. C. Randerson and Mr Howard Andrew were appointed to represent the League at the annual convention of the New Zealand Alliance to be held in April. The R«v. Abbey is substitute representative.
Tho Otaki Lawn Tennis Club will be represented at the Easter tournament at Wanganui by Miss O'Rourke and Messrs Chamberlain and Turner.
