A good indication of what can be accomplished by systematic culture of the land on the West Coast is afforded in the case of 10 acres of land adjoining Milton road (says the Grt\vnioiith Star). This area, the property of Mr Joseph McLean, was recently stumped and cleared, and then sown with clover. Despite the adverse •weather conditions which have obtained this season, the clover grew luxuriantly, and the TO acres yielded 23 tons.
