It has been definitely decided :o erev't a building at Waikanae—to (serve a- a Sunday school room, and also - be ii ,L'd for church services—by voluntary I; btair by "clay-building" scheme. Sevt'.ai expert builders, including several from Ulaki. Waikanae, To Horo, Paekukaiiki have promised a day's work, and il i., expected there will l>« a large 111(lii bf of workers ready and willing t-j tackle the work. The day for the building has been fixed for Easter Saturday, April 3rd. The piles will lw put in on the previous Saturday, and -it i* expected that, given g<M>d weather, the building will practically be completed in one day. Word has been received by relatives iu this district that Corporal Eric Lynch, of Paraparaumu, now with the New Zealand Korces in .Egypt, some time ago received injuries as the result of a kick from a horse. He was kicked iri the stomach and was unconscious for several days. Latest advices state, however, that Corporal Lynch had quite recovered from the effects of the unfortunate accident. Mr TV. Tompsitt, of Otaki, has invested in a large motor-car, beautifully finished and easy running. Mr McKegg also purchased a new car recently.
