Mr Hard ay who formerly lived on the Kaiheuo road and went for a trip to America after his wife's death, is returning to Shannon- Ho is said to be a passenger by the Corinthic and is expected to be here early next month.
BELGIAN RELIEF FOND. A meeting of residents of Shannon convened for the purpose of seeing what further measures should be taken to augment the Belgian Belief Fund was held in the Druids' Hall on Monday evening. Mr G. N ! . iStephenson presided and expressed regret tTlat there was not a larger attendance considering the cause. An urgent appeal was maife on behalf of that brave and noble little nation, the Belgians, who had .suffered so much, and he was sure that such appeals were never made to Englishmen in vain. He detailed what had been done by the Government sriid suggested that monthly subscriptions should be called for.
Mr Venn proposed that those present v should form themselves into a committee.
