An exhibition of life-saving will be given in "Kevin next Wednesday afternoon by members of the iToyal Life Saving Society.

For the Levin Croquet Club's garden party to be held to-morrow (Wednesday). Mrs Broome has donated two handsome Dotilton vases, to be given to winners of the competitions. The net proceeds go to the Belgian Fund. There will be very few expenses nearly everything having been given. Should Wednesday afternoon be wet the garden party will be held on the green the following day (Thursday). The portraits of the former chairmen of the Horowhenua, County Council, which during the renovation of the Council Chamber -were hung in the commercial room of the club buildings, have now been returned to their positions in the Council Chambers.
