[PEK PRESS ASSOCIATION.] SHAREBROKER GOES BANKRUPT. Christchurch, This Day. A meeting of creditors m the estate of Raymond Hepworth, sliarebrokcr, was held to-day. A statement of accounts was handed in and showed a deficit of £1175 12 10d. Bankrupt said that he had no means, no assets, and no prospects. Counsel for petitioning creditors asked the Assignee to ta>ke advice as to whether or no bankrupt had kept proper books. .He was a registered accountant and the matter was serious. The Assignee agreed to do eo. NOT GUILT I'. Napier, This Day. In the case in which four men named Lynch, Short, Fuller ami Burke, were charged with conspiring to defraud a Maori by card-playing on the .NapierWellington express, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
