THE DARDANELLES. London, March 4. The Admiralty reports: I he Triumph, Ocean and Albion on MoiuTay entered the Dardanelles and attacked Fort Eight and tho batteries at Whitocliff. The fort returned the lire also the iield guns and tho howitzors. In tha evening the seaplanes reported that soveral new gun positions had been prepared, but there wero no guns. A force of mino-swoepers on Monday covered by destroyers, swept within a
milo and a half of Capo iveplez, under
fire. Only six were wounded. Meanwhile four French battleships operated
on Bulair and bombarded the batteries and communications.
Nineteen guns ranging from 6in to llin. and eleven small guns have been destroyed. On Tuesday night two more forts wero silenced. The throe attacking British warships were struck Dut only one man was slightly wounded. The Alliod fleet, comprising 52 vesesls is slowly advancing.
