HARVEST FESTIVAL

AT THE CENTURi HALL. The Levin Methodist Church continued its harvest' festival in tho Century Hall last night. The hall was crowded ami those present listened to an excellent programme. Tho Rev. \V. H. E. Abbey occupied the chair and tho proceedings were opened with hymn and prayer. Following is the programme Pianoforte solo, Miss I. Pink; chorus, Methodist Church choir; recitation, Mr Trevitic, of Manakau (encored); song, Miss N. Smith; recitation, Miss Hart, of Karori; song, Mr Howard Andrew; recitation, Mr J. Staples, of Mauakau; pianoforte solo, Miss 1. Pink; recitation, Mrs Decossy; song, Mr Howard Andrew (encored); recitation, Miss Hart; recitation, Mr Trevitic. Mr J. Hayfiekl was accompanist. The Rov. Crawford, from Shannon, M as present and in a brief speech communicated the greetings of the Shannon Methodist Church. During the ovening the sale of fruit, vegetables and poultry wont on briskly ami at the conclusion, Mr P. W. Gfoldsniith was able to announce that the sum of £50 had been received and still there were a few smaller sums to come in. He thanked the people for thsir liberal response. A first-class supper was provided and enjoyfed by everyone.
