[ Air A. Saunders, a very early settler m the Shannon district, and who has resided at Moutoa, just by the Manawatu river, is about to bid fanrell « the place which lias Known him for so long, and goes to Foxton. The health of Mrs Saunders necessitates a change. We knew "Alick" 22 years ago in Shannon, as a young man with sterlnig qualities. He made himself useful in the Methodist Sunday School and Church, and though living across the river, bad weather never interfered with his attendance. As years have passert by he proved himself a useful and upright townsman.
