A PRIVATE'S STORY.
Fremautle, This Day. A wounded private, returning from the front, says that when the British were retreating from Mows, the privates in the British Army thought the war was over, and tlfafthey were beaten and bound for Havre en route to England. He says it is difficult to describe the atmosphere surrounding the hand to hand conflicts. Often the men become demented with the nerve racking noise. From the trenches they rush out towards the enemy's trenches, only to meet a hail of bullets and .n----stant death.
