Mr Ro&ser, president of the Railway Workers and General Labourers Association predicts very serious trouble on the Glebe-Wadrell construction works in regard to the non-union-ist question. He accuses tfie Department of giving preference to nonunionists and foreigners and neglecting the wages award in order to break down the award rates. The Hon. D. R. Hall states that aplications for loans of wheat have been made to New South Wales by all other states. Victoria's requirements are 100,000 bushels immediately, and a total of 200,000. The loans of Tasmania is 10,000 bushels a month. The Government is considering the matter.
