Tho Levin iiorougli Council lias given instructions to'the road overseer to have 1000 yards of metal crushed as soon as possible. Last night the Lovin Borough Council decided that as satisfactory arrangements have been made with tho auctioneering firms that the work of kerbing and channelling and tar and s;i tiding bo proceeded with from Salis-bury-street to Weraroa road along Qneen-street. A deputation from f?hau> oonsisti ig of Messrs A. McLcavey and J. Hansen waited on the Levin Borough Ouoncil last night and asked that tlio lxHWigh high pressure water supply be extended to Ohau as far as the school, and the probable cost. The matter was referred to the Waterworks Committee for report. The Levin Park Domain Board (the Levin Boi-ough Council) held its annual meeting last night and received the annual report and balance. The report wa.s a short one dtailing what had been done during the year. The bal-ance-sheet showed receipts £13 14s sd. and expenditure £6 13s 4d, leaving a credit balance of £7 Is Id. The assets wore put down at £12 6s Id. There wipi'o no liabilities.
