The children attending the Ivoputaroa school have decided to forgo their annual picnic and prizes this year and give the money that would be thus spent to the Belgian Relief Fund 1 . Tlui Horowhenua County Council lias decided to take the necessary steps to raise a loan of £250 for the Manakau Beach road. Some time ago it was stated that tilTraining Farm boys wanted to give •something towards the help of those who were suffering through the war.
