Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their fortnightly sale at Levin a? follows:—Stock came forward well up to advertised numbers, fhe yarding consisting principally of lambs, empty owes and fat sneep, which were well competed for, and sold at an advance on late rates. Cattle were dull of sale, owing no doubt to the very rough weather prevailing, and a number of pens went out unsold. We quote some of the principal sales:—
Sheep. Empty forward ewes, Ms to 13s lOd: ewes in lamb, low condition, 11s 9d to 13s Td; woolly lambs, 9s lid, 10s TOd, 13s 7d; 2-tooth wethers, los, 17s 9d, 18s sd, to 18s fid: shorn lambs, 9s 3d, 9s 4d to 10s: fat lambs to 14s fid; fat ewes, T7s Id, 17s 9d 18s, 18s fid.
Cattle. -Two-year heifers, .£3 9s fid, £4: springing cows, £3 fis, £fi to £8: weaners, 20s: 18month heifers, £2 15s fid: fat cows, £5, £5 10s, £fi 10s to £f> Jfis; forward cow?, £3, £4 18s fid <o ,£4 IPs: 3-rear it*#r« to £b 18«.
