SHANNON STOCK SALE
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having hell their monthly sale at Shannon on Friday last, when they yarded largo entries of both sheep and cattle. The attendance was good, and the prices quite in keeping with ruling rates elsewhere. Nearly all lines were disposed of under the hammer, and altogether it was a very successful sale. The JRomney ewes in lamb offered on account of Mr Barclay were a choice line, and realised 27s 9d. Other prices were': — Sheep.—Fat ewes, 17s Id; forward ewes, 14s, 14s 6d, 15s; woolly lambs, 13s Id; good shorn lambs, 14s 6d; smaller, 8s 7d to 9s 8d; 2-tooth wethers. 18s 3dr s.m. ewes (low condition) 12s 3d. Cattle.—Weaner heifers, 355, 375, £2, £2 Os 6d; weaner steers, 28s Gd; 2-year heifers in calf, £5 Bs, £5 10s, £6; cows close to profit, £7, £9 ss; spring calvers, £5 7a fid, £5 10s, £6 15s; fat cows, £5 15s, £5 17s; forward cows, £4: empty heifers, £3 0s 6d, £3' 2s fid; 2*-year steers, £5 10s.
