EVENTS TN SHANNON

A meeting of the LadW Hotkey Club was held on Monday evening. It was decided- to hold a dance on June 3rd next. The Men's Hockey Club will try conclusions with Moutoa, at Mmuoa, on Wednesday next. The Shannon contingent of the cadets left for Palmerstm North in the train on Monday morning to attend the inspection parade before Sir lan Hamilton. The train was filled with cade'-s from the other stations along the line. They left the railway ; tition to the strains of a band •»{ pipers who accompanied them. At a meeting of the Shannon School Committee, held on Monday evening Mr John Sundell's tender for cleaning the poLool for £22 a year was aocepUl. It was also resolved to .lequest the Board to allow the names of Mr Mowatt's children to be added 1o the list of children enti'led Jo travel by the Kingston road brake.
