This morning the following telegraphic advice was received by the Postmaster at Levin from the Postmaster at Woodville: "River risen four feet; still rising; very dirty." Two hockey matches will be played at Levin on Wednesday (to-morrow) on the recreation ground. Levin A team will play Y.M.O.A. and have chosen the following to represent them:— Howe, Meld, W. Walton, G. Walton, Tuohy, Broughton, Parsons, Mclndoe, Anderson,, Murray, Winter. The Magpies will play Foxton and will be represented by the following players: — Pio, Fletcher, Martin, Thompson, Hpro, Barratt, McDermotfc, McDonald, Fletcher, and Smart. The Y.M.O.A. team is as follows:—Horrobin (2), Chidley, Geddison, Best, Kopa, Itangi Broughton, Pringle, Jiutler, Kin. gi, Smith, Mac Donald, Vincent, Puku.
