-- » - 1 KING'S THEATRE. A reminder is given regarding the excellent series of pictures to be shown in the King's Theatre this evening. Prices of admission are as usual, there will be the usual matinee tomorrow afternoon (Saturday), and the same programme will be shown again on Saturday evening. The following is the synopsis of the first part of "TheScrapegrace," which is one of the "star" films to be shown 011 Monday evening*. Part I. shows how Jack Marriot leads a life of dissipation. A striking contrast is Arthur Seymore, engaged to marry Jack's Bister, Kate Marriott. Ho receives the congratulations of his principals, and a handsome sum in banknotes on the eve of the wedding. Arthus leaves the wallet containing the notes on the table. Jack enters and steals the money. Suspicion foils on him, and later remorse seizes him and the notes are returned. Robert Marriot orders his son from the house, and invites him to return when he has established himself as an honest man. Arthur assists Kim with money, with which he takes passage to Vancouver, and joins the rush to the Yukon goldfields. Here he incurs the enmity of Manoel Garcia, bv saving Molly Summers from his intensions.—Synopsis of part IT. will appear in to-morrow's Chronicle. Another "star" film to be shown on Monday evening is "The Quakeress." a sensational Tndian drama.
