Levin stock sales will be held on Wednesday next, not rriday. Tlie departure from the customary date and day lias been necessitated by the approaching Easter holidays. Entries for the sale are advertised to-day by Dalgety" and Co. Ltd, also bv Abraham and Williams Ltd. In Horowhenua County the subdivision of estates still goes on, and the latest to be brought into i,he market are "Hapua" and "Net ley," which are situated close to Wuikanae, or within 40 miles of Wellington. This district is noted .for its climatic conditions, and within a few years all along this coast will be one series of dairy farms. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Ltd. lias arranged a horse fa r for this month. It will be held in Levin on Friday I.7th April, commencing at Ip.ui. Already there are forty draught saddle and harness horses entered, ' including unbroken mares, fillies and colts by that good sire Lord Otaihanga.
