SELECTION CRITICISED. ! [JPEII l'illiSS ASSOCIATION.] ! Napier, This Day. A meeting , of the Uricket As- [ sociation strongly criticised the j selection for the test team and j passed a resolution urging the consideration of the claims of associations outside the four centres.
The first test match was continued at Dunedin on Saturday when New Zealand carried their first inning's total to 228, Australia made -554. Armstrong ( J(i, Truniper 72, Crawford f)0, and Waddy 59 were the chief scorers. New Zealand have no wickets down for 44 in their second innings. The following- players have been selected to play for the T.M.C.A. Cricket Club against Foxton (at Foxton) on Wednesday, Uth insl. A. Pringle, R. Pnngle, W. Clark, C. Howe, 1). Smart, J. Dean, G. Cooper, S Hutton, D. Porteous, G. Lester and E. Smith. The team will travel by motor car, leaving the post office corner at 1.30 punctually.
