Cable News from Abroad (Sydney Sun. MARRIED IN MID-AIR. Sail Francisco, February 1. To be married on the pinnacle of a slcy-seraper known as Perry Building was the unique experience of a young San Francisco couple yesterday. The parties to these mid-air nuptials were Steeplejack Bob Simpson and his 18-year-old sweetheart, Maude Fayler, who calls herself Steeplejill. , To cap the ceremony Simpson jumped into his swing and pulled himself to the top of the flagpole and down again, the bride afterwards going through the same risky performance.
Then the parson, the Rev. J. M. Heady, kissed the venturesome'young bride, exclaiming as he did-so, "I feel like a real sky pilot!"
MARIE LLOYD ANGIIY. Vancouver, February 1. Wielding a large strap with a vicious-looking buckle at one end of it,' Marie Lloyd, the famous comedienne, endeavoured yesterday to crack the skull of Mr Taylor, editor of the Vancouver World.
