Manakau Notes
Mr Andrew's prizes for the best boy and girl iennis player were presented on Thursday, with the public, school prizes. Master Ewiirt Bevan and Miss hvita Nees were tlie worihy winners. ''Sonny" Sibbrey was presented with a medal for being the best buy (in attendance and behaviour) on the roll of the Manakau school. Nurse Houghton, who lias lately been spending a short vacation here, has gone on to (Jhristchurch tor six months, to finish her studies. Mrs Diamond, the lady who died last Sunday, was buried on Wednesday. The late Mrs Diamond was the wife of the wellknown Maori football player.
